An enhancement polish is a great and cost-effective way to greatly improve the visual appearance of the paint. It is the least aggressive process, minimalizing the amount of clear coat being removed. With an enhancement polish you can expect a removal of paint blemishes and minor swirls up to 70%. Let's bring back the shine to your vehicle once again!
A paint correction is for those who are wanting their vehicle to look showroom ready. This a 2-stage process where heavy cutting of the clear coat takes places to remove up to 90% of any swirls and scratches. A polish is then performed to refine the paint, giving a crystal-clear finish. This is the most aggressive method of the two but, the results are unmatched!
At Reyes Details, we provide a thorough exterior hand wash that removes dirt and grime effectively. Any bugs and road tar are treated to remove safely. Wheels, tires and fenders are deep cleaned with multiple brushes, leaving refreshed wheels. Emblems and gas cap are carefully scrubbed with a soft brush.
After a thorough wash, the vehicle goes through our decontamination process. Any dirt, debris, and iron particles (orange specs) that may be embedded in the paint are removed through a clay bar treatment and iron removing step. The paint will feel a lot smoother.
With the vehicle dried off, the paint work begins. Using our dedicated equipment the paint will undergo through a polish or a paint correction removing swirls and scratches to reveal a brilliant shine. The gloss boost will be very noticeable.
A paint sealant is applied to further increase the gloss and to protect the vehicle for the following months to come (ceramic coating is available upon request at addition cost). Tires and trim are dressed along with the windows and door jambs getting wiped clean. Final walk around is done to inspect the work.

Truth: Paint correction is not a wash or wax. It’s the process of removing imperfections in the paint surface, such as swirl marks, oxidation, light scratches, and etching, usually through machine polishing and abrasive compounds. It’s a restorative service, not just cosmetic.
Truth: Not always. Single-stage polishing may improve the finish, but heavily damaged or older paint often requires two or three stages (cutting, polishing, refining) to truly restore clarity and depth.
Truth: Polishing is just one step in the paint correction process. Paint correction is a systematic, multi-step approach that may include compounding, polishing, and refining to remove paint defects.
Truth: Real paint correction is a labor-intensive process that can take hours or even days, depending on the vehicle’s condition. It's a skilled service—not just a way to upcharge for simple detailing.
Truth: Only surface-level defects in the clear coat can be corrected. Deep scratches that go through the clear coat into the paint or primer cannot be "polished out"—they may require touch-up paint or respraying.
